Here is the Nové Mēsto na Moravē race recap:
XCC – Mariske raced to a great 26th position, adding more points to her World Cup tally and having a blast in the process!
XCO U23 Men – Frazer was all set for a great race, with top form and brimming confidence, but he suffered from the start with breathing problems and pressure in his head that we believe comes from pollen allergies. He was forced to abandon the race. The whole team was gutted for Frazer but there is a big result to come from this young gun, and we can’t wait to see him fly in the next rounds.
XCO Elite Women – Mariske had a brilliant start to the race, moving up into 13th position on the start loop and thus fulfilling a major progression point. However, she was unable to hold the pace and slipped back to 55th. It was a disappointing and somewhat inexplicable result but she is determined to make amends and be back in top condition for her next trip to Europe at the end of June.
XCO Elite Men – Martin achieved a much sought-after top 30 result: from grid number 80 up to 39th in the start loop and then moving forward to 29th at the finish. This is the result of unwavering dedication and belief. This ride and result has been on the cards for a while and we are delighted to see Martin pull it off. What a ride!
Raphaël also had a great race, moving up from start number 76 to 47th at the finish. It is so nice to see Raph settling in with the team and moving forward. We are excited to see what is next for this Canadian dude!
We worked really hard during this trip, but we also had a lot of laughs; the team spirit has been wonderful!
Thanks for all your support and for being a part of the OMX family and our story. We are now building towards the World Cup double-header of Val di Sole and Vallnord.
