Best ever result: World Championships Eliminator 2014 – 5th (Elite)

Best ever race: The World Cup race in Nove Mesto (Cezch Republic) is always amazing. About 20 000 fans are chearing at the track and the race course is challenging. I finished my first Elite World Cup race there on the 35th spot and came 6th at the Eliminator sprint.

Race/result you are most proud of: As a junior rider I won the Bronze Medal at the European Championships in Zoetermeer 2009. At this time I was the best German rider. The following years in U23 category I had a lot of problems with my back and a big injury with my shoulder. BUT I never lost motivation riding my bike and fought back to my personal top level! What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!

Strengths: Starts, short climbs, technical descents and the desire to succeed.

Some non-cycling accolades: Beside mountainbiking I study industrial engineering and planning to get my Bachelor’s degree next year. I really like to train my physical fitness also with other sports, such as xc-skiing and snowboarding.

The ultimate goal: My main goal for the next years is to become a constant Top 20 World Cup rider. I train hard for the Olympic dream and if Rio is too early I have Tokyo 2020 on my list!

Food: Italian Food

Book: I prefer sports magazines for books! …if my mobile phone battery is empty 😀

Possesion: My parents and my sister! Without them I wouldn’t be where I am right now!

Type of trail: fast and flowy

Riding conditions: I don’t care if it’s muddy, dry, hot or cold…but I always prefer sunshine!

Favourite place: Home is where your heart is. For me there are more than one favourite places. All I need is a bike, good weather and good company.

What does it mean to you to be a part of OMX Pro Bike Team?
The main thing is that the team gives me support and framework that I can focus on what really matters. The team always believes in me and this gives me great self confidence for the races!
